On July 21, 2018, the renewal by Syfy and Space for a fourth season was announced at SDCC. The season will comprise 12 episodes and is scheduled to premiere in 2019. On February 22, 2019, media sources reported that the start of production on Season 4 had been delayed due to apparent financial difficulties at IDW Entertainment.
